Select a Stone
Memorials in Vail Memorial Park consist of natural stone materials concentrated in forest clearings along Gore Creek at the base of the rugged slopes that define the southern boundary of the park. The design of the Vail Memorial Park adheres to a natural motif in forms and materials. Individual memorials are arranged to be compatible with the undisturbed character of the natural landscape. No formal carved headstones or monuments are available. Memorial inscriptions will be placed on natural stones in low dry stacked walls, on native boulders sensitively placed in clusters, and on flagstone slabs along pathways of crushed stone. Benches and tree memorials are available in limited amounts, as unique memorials.
All aspects of the park- walls, stones, benches, flagstone walkways and the Pet Park - can be viewed online for your convenience in locating the memorial you'd like to choose for your own.
